Review: Older Viscosity 2008

It has been sometime since I posted here. I thought I might try and revive the blog bug with a simple beer review. I finally opened this bottle and have affirmed this is one of my favorite beers.

A: Pours the richest black/brown with a tan/light brown head layer that just looms atop the glass for minutes.
S: Rich and complex sweetness. A bit of caramel, vanilla, oak and dark fruits stand out.
T: Smooth caramel, bourbon, dark chocolate flavors.
M: Barrel aged bliss. Wonderful alcohol warming effect.
D: Exceptional in all senses. One of a kind beer. One of my favorite offerings from Lost Abbey.
